Water screen design 1

So, to make sure this all works correctly, we need to have a stable frame that is also easy to carry around, and perfectly safe to be put on stage at teh O2. I had aimed to make this as modular as i could, and so have laid down some ideas based around that. The key thing about this is the circulation of water, making it completely self regulating, meaning we need a decent area of collection and reservoir. I picked up some tubing and sliced it apart thinking this would work, and tried keeping it modular. Alas, it didn’t quite work out that way… Not exactly a bit waste of money, but it was useful for research. During this stage mike and I started calculating the height of it all, and used this plan as an initial basis.

Although we’ve started planning it, we decided to test of the pump, just to see how well it works. So we basically knocked up this contraption as a test.

Evidently, we learned that the area needed to catch the water needed to be alot wider, and that the pump was a bit too powerful for just one length of nozzles….

So, a bit of redesigning needed….
